Rebekah McBride speaks with Alexis Boron, Canton Junior, about BLAST. BLAST is a fundraiser she is planning to fight Neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer. The fundraiser was started by a local family after their daughter was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Lisa lost her battle with cancer in 2013 and since then Alexis has relaunched the fundraiser.

The Wilcox Foundation offers an annual essay contest/scholarship program for graduating seniors. 88.1 the Park’s Midha Mashhood spoke with 2016 Canton graduate Grace Grimes. She was one of two $3,000 winners in the 2016 competition. This year’s contest asked students to research what it meant to be a good citizen in Plymouth. Grace’s research looked at the role of women that contributed as good citizens in the community.
