Plymouth High School Senior Grace Rembinski has been making music for years but now she’s taking a major step forward. The Canton resident has signed a publishing deal with Much Love Music, a Nashville based publisher. 88.1 the Park’s Daniel Schoenherr, spoke with Grace from her publisher’s office. They talked about making music and balancing that with her school commitments.

The City Inside, a band from the Detroit area, is releasing new music. 88.1 the Park Station Manager, Bill Keith. had a chance to talk with Corey Voorman and Spencer Pingitore about their new music, influences on the band’s sound, and the opportunity to work with a producer with major music credits. You’ll also hear one of their new songs, “Right Now.”

Community Focus – July 29, 2020
The Michigan Philharmonic is looking for creative ways to take their music to audiences throughout the community. They orchestra will share a live performance on Saturday August 1, from the driveway of one of their supporters. Though they can’t have an in person audience, the Michigan Phil is partnering with 88.1 the Park to air the concert live. 88.1 the Park’s Public Affairs Director. Kyla Schilling spoke with Beth Stewart, Executive Director of the Michigan Philharmonic, about the concert and how the orchestra is making music available during the pandemic.
