88.1 the Park Auction Sets Fundraising Record

“Thanks” sometimes feels inadequate in expressing gratefulness.  That’s the case with the 2018 88.1 the Park Auction.  This year we set a new fundraising record for the station by raising over $19,000, and the number is still growing.

We first want to thank all of the businesses that donated items.  We were able to auction eight items per half hour and we had a Dream Board filled with wonderful items.  Thanks also to our sponsors.

We would also be remiss if we didn’t thank our alums and families that matched half hours of the auction.  We had a record number of alumni matches allowing each half hour of the auction to be matched by two people.

Our student announcers and staff also did a tremendous job of staffing the auction from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  They were always focused and ready to work.
