88.1 the Park Shines in John Drury High School Radio Awards

88.1 the Park students showed their winning ways this fall in the John Drury High School Radio Awards.  The national competition is hosted by WONC at North Central College in Naperville Illinois.

88.1 the Park received a first place award for Best Use of Social Media, recognizing the station’s Facebook page.  The award recognized the work of 88.1 the Park’s Social Media Director and Salem Senior, Alia Mulbagal.  Plymouth Junior, Nathaniel Behrens, received a second place award for Best Sportscast.

 

The following students were finalists.
Best DJ – Hannah Thoms, 2023 Plymouth Graduate
Best Newscast – Anuya Shetty, Canton Senior and Avneet Panher, Salem Senior
Best Sports Play-by-Play – Andy McLaren, Plymouth Senior and Brody Klein, Plymouth Senior

The awards were presented in November at North Central College.
