Community Focus Max Kuang with Mike MatthiessenMax Kuang interviews Mike Matthissen, President of the Tournament of Roses Parade. He was in town to visit with the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Marching Band prior to their performance in the 2016 Rose Parade. He also appeared at their fundraiser on May 15, 2015 at the Henry Ford Museum. They talked about the history of the parade, the challenge of selecting bands and some of the experiences the Plymouth-Canton Marching Band will have as they visit Pasadena.

This was the final interview of our diversity series that looked at the diversity of the Plymouth and Canton area. They talked about the museum’s role in the community.

Conversations with Mike State Rep Kurt Heise and Board Member Sheila PatonDr. Michael Meissen, Superintendent of the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, hosts a special show focused on the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Early Childhood Education programs and the new Allen Early Learning Academy.  His special guests are Corrin Stamatakos, a member of the district’s Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee and a strong advocate of pre-school education, and Nick Brandon, Director of Communications for the district.

They talked about the Board of Education’s decision to repurpose Allen and the exciting early childhood programs the district is offering.

The show will air Tuesday June 23, June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21 and July 28 at 5:40 p.m.
