88.1 the Park Staff Member of the Month – May 2016
Congratulations to Sam Badger, Canton Freshman. Sam is 88.1 the Park’s May 2016 Staff Member of the Month.
Sam is one of our newest DJ’s and he’s been getting better every week. He also is part of the station’s Community Focus staff. His two recent interviews with outgoing Canton Public Safety Director Todd Mutchler and incoming Public Safety Director Joshua Meier, were filled with thoughtful questions.
“We’re excited to have Sam on our staff,” said Bill Keith, Station Manager. “Sam works very hard and is always willing to help make the station better. As a new staff member he has quickly become one of our top interview hosts. We’re looking forward to great things from Sam.”
88.1 the Park is a Community Financial Thumbs Up for Charity Recipient
The staff of 88.1 the Park thanks Community Financial for their support through the Thumbs Up for Charity program. 88.1 finished in second place in the voting among five finalists. Through the generosity of Community Financial the station received a check for $5,000.
“Community Financial has been a great supporter of non-profits in Canton and Plymouth. We appreciate their willingness to support us with this very generous gift. The gift is a testament to the hard work of our students and their passion for serving the community,” said Bill Keith, Station Manager.
88.1 the Park Auction – Thanks
Thanks to everyone that helped make the 88.1 the Park Auction our best ever. Through your generous support we were able to raise over $16,000. This is the most money we’ve every raised through the auction and we are very grateful. Thanks to the businesses that donated items, listeners who bid, parents and students that contacted businesses, and our staff for the hard work on the day of the auction.
This year’s auction reminded us that we’re fortunate to be part of such a great community in Canton and Plymouth.
