Plymouth High School Senior Nolan Johnson is a National Merit Scholarship winner.  He was also the co-captain of the Bowling Team.  He’ll attend the University of Chicago.  88.1 the Park’s, Ayla Green, spoke with Nolan about his academic success and his future plans.

The Recovery Action Network of Michigan works to empower individuals and families affected by addiction by providing a safe and supportive community where they can find hope, inspiration, resources and achieve long-term recovery.  They serve Western Wayne Country through the support of Growth Works.  88.1 the Park’s Sydney Capen, spoke with RANMI Executive Director, Allison Herrst, about their work in the community and the importance of support in the recovery journey.  Allison is also an 88.1 the Park Alum.

Haven Homes of Detroit was founded in 2021 to be a safe home and community in Detroit for women leaving human trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation.  They are hosting a golf outing fundraiser on June 5, at Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center in Plymouth.  88.1 the Park’s Anya Read spoke with Haven Homes of Detroit Co-Founder, Aaron Short.
