The Yankee Air Museum and the Willow Run Bomber Plant are hoping to take back the record for the most Rosie The Riveters in a picture.  They held the record until last year when the Rockin’ Rosies of Richmond took the record with 1,084 Rosies.  They will work to regain the record on Saturday October 24.  More information is at SavetheBomberPlant.org.

The Willow Run Bomber Plant is the birthplace of Rosie The Riveter and the iconic image that celebrated the impact of women in winning World War II.  On this edition of Community Focus, John Kreger speaks with Kevin Walsh, Executive Director of the Yankee Air Museum about the effort to regain the record, the history of the Willow Run Bomber Plant, and the Yankee Air Museum’s work to build the National Museum of Aviation and Technology at Willow Run.
