Lightning Robotics is a nationally ranked robotics team at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park.  They build a robot and compete each year, but they also host local events to spread the word about STEM education and careers.  88.1 the Park’s, Mihir Shastry, is the President of Lightning Robotics.  He spoke with the Vice President of Business Operations for Lightning Robotics, Angela Yang.

The Rotary Club of Plymouth is celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year.  James Gietzen is the new President of Plymouth Rotary.  88.1 the Park’s Leila Riley spoke with Gietzen about the club’s history, the celebration of this year’s anniversary, his role as President, and the importance of service clubs in Plymouth and Canton.

Plymouth High School Senior Nolan Johnson is a National Merit Scholarship winner.  He was also the co-captain of the Bowling Team.  He’ll attend the University of Chicago.  88.1 the Park’s, Ayla Green, spoke with Nolan about his academic success and his future plans.

The Recovery Action Network of Michigan works to empower individuals and families affected by addiction by providing a safe and supportive community where they can find hope, inspiration, resources and achieve long-term recovery.  They serve Western Wayne Country through the support of Growth Works.  88.1 the Park’s Sydney Capen, spoke with RANMI Executive Director, Allison Herrst, about their work in the community and the importance of support in the recovery journey.  Allison is also an 88.1 the Park Alum.
