The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools will host a Realtor Breakfast on February 28, at Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex.  The breakfast will give local realtors a chance to learn more about the district, hear from a realtor and network with district leadership.  Superintendent Monica Merritt spoke with Carly Girolamo, Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotion for P-CCS and Jerry Weaver, a realtor with 3DX Real Estate.

The show will air on February 6, 13, 20 and 27 following Newsfile at 5:30 p.m.

Moments with Merritt – January 2018

The Plym0uth-Canton Community Schools has had two schools honored as Blue Ribbon Schools in the past two years.  The Blue Ribbon School Honor is presented by the United States Department of Education.  Superintendent Monica Merritt, spoke with the Principal of Gallimore Elementary, Aimee Bell, and the Principal of Dodson Elementary, Dr. April Quasarano.

This episode will air live on 88.1 the Park on Tuesday January 9, 16, and 23 at 5:40 p.m.

Moments with Merritt – November 2017

88.1 the Park is celebrating 45 years of serving the community.  The station signed on the air February 14, 1972.   The station hosted an alumni reunion in October and is also presenting Vinyl Recall – An Iconic Album Exhibit Celebrating 45 Years of 88.1 the Park.  Superintendent Monica Merritt spoke with Bill Keith, Station Manager, June Kirchgatter, Alum and Vinyl Recall Curator, and Serafine Hinz, Salem Senior and the station’s Operations Manager.

This edition of Moments with Merritt will air Oct.31, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, at 5:40 p.m.

Moments with Merritt – August 2017

The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools and the Educational Excellence Foundation are partnering with Canton Leisure Services to present the Back t0 School Bash on Saturday August 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Park in Canton.  Plymouth-Canton Superintendent, Monica Merritt, spoke with Gretchen Ward, Executive Director of the Educational Excellence Foundation, and Nick Brandon Director of Communications for the school district, about the plans for the event.

The show will air August 1, 8, 15, and 22 at 5:40 p.m. on 88.1 the Park.

Moments with Merritt – June 2017

Delta Kappa Gamma is a professional honor society of active and retired women educators.  The Plymouth-Canton chapter of DKG has been an active supporter of the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools through their generous gifts and support for teachers and students.  Superintendent Dr. Monica Merritt spoke with Liz VanWestenburg, Debbi Maloni and Sharon Belobraidich.  Sharon, Debbi and Liz are former educators in the district and are members of Delta Kappa Gamma.

The show will air on June 6, 13, 20, 27 at 5:45 p.m.
