Plymouth and Canton community members can get a behind the scenes look at life at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park during the P-CEP Community Open House on Thursday November 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Superintendent Monica Merritt spoke with Canton Social Studies Teacher, Richard Mui, Arts Academy Director and Teacher, Amy Willacker-Brown, and Salem Counseling Office Administrator, Kurt Runchey, about the open house and the opportunities at Canton, Plymouth and Salem High Schools.

This episode will air on Tuesday October 30, and Tuesday November 6, at 5:45 p.m.

Moments with Merritt – September/October 2018

The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools are enhancing safety and security for students and staff with the addition of John Walker for the position of Director of School Safety and Security.  John has 25 years of public safety experience focusing on security administration, training, and emergency preparedness. He will bring his passion and enthusiasm to engage with our students, faculty and staff.  Superintendent Monica Merritt recently spoke with Walker about his new role with the district.

Moments with Merritt – April 2018

The SJ5K is a charity run/walk that raises funds for families in the Plymouth-Canton Community that are facing a medical crisis.  The race was started in 2011 to raise funds for Plymouth-Canton Educational Park student Jesse Lindlbauer.  Jesse had suffered a near-fatal aneurysm.  1800 people participated in the first run and raised over $45,000 for the family.  Since then the race has raised over $360,000 for 26 families.  Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Superintendent, Monica Merritt,  spoke with Salem Senior Katherine Parker, Head of Family Outreach, and Canton Senior Arianna Mattioli, Head of Promotions, about the race and opportunities for people to be involved.

The show will air on Tuesday April 3, 10, 17, 24 and May 1, at 5:45 p.m.

Moments with Merritt – February 2018

The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools will host a Realtor Breakfast on February 28, at Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex.  The breakfast will give local realtors a chance to learn more about the district, hear from a realtor and network with district leadership.  Superintendent Monica Merritt spoke with Carly Girolamo, Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotion for P-CCS and Jerry Weaver, a realtor with 3DX Real Estate.

The show will air on February 6, 13, 20 and 27 following Newsfile at 5:30 p.m.

Moments with Merritt – January 2018

The Plym0uth-Canton Community Schools has had two schools honored as Blue Ribbon Schools in the past two years.  The Blue Ribbon School Honor is presented by the United States Department of Education.  Superintendent Monica Merritt, spoke with the Principal of Gallimore Elementary, Aimee Bell, and the Principal of Dodson Elementary, Dr. April Quasarano.
