The SJ5K will raise much needed money for five families in need in our community on Sunday May 1. The run/walk was started in 2011 to raise funds for the family of Jesse Lindlbauer. Jesse had suffered a ruptured brain abscess and his family was dealing with many medical expenses. The National Honor Society at P-CEP created the race to help his family. Since then the race has supported 14 families by raising over $230,000.
Rebekah McBride spoke with Charlotte Clark, SJ5K Coordinator, about the impact of the race and the five families that will receive from this year’s race.
