Plymouth and Canton community members can get a behind the scenes look at life at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park during the P-CEP Community Open House on Thursday November 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Superintendent Monica Merritt spoke with Canton Social Studies Teacher, Richard Mui, Arts Academy Director and Teacher, Amy Willacker-Brown, and Salem Counseling Office Administrator, Kurt Runchey, about the open house and the opportunities at Canton, Plymouth and Salem High Schools.

This episode will air on Tuesday October 30, and Tuesday November 6, at 5:45 p.m.

Four candidates are running for two seats on the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education.  John Lazarowicz and Aamina Ahmed are running for two year seat and Leonardo Savage and Anupam Chugh Sidhu are running for the six year term.  88.1 the Park is interviewing each of the candidates on Community Focus.  This week 88.1’s News Director, Alivia Wiacek, spoke with Anupam Chugh-Sidhu.

Lightning Robotics is a team at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park that participates in FIRST Robotics.  The team has won State and International Competitions.  88.1 the Park’s Public Affairs Director, Brooke Wiggins spoke with Lightning Robotics Vice President of Business Operations, Brian Derry.  They talked about the team, their work in the community and opportunities for students to participate.
