The Arab American National Museum is hosting a special exhibit celebrating actor Danny Thomas and his founding of St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Mr. Thomas was of Lebanese Syrian heritage and he grew up in the Detroit area. The birth of the hospital came out of a prayer he offered in a Detroit area church. Midha Mashhood interviews Kim Silarski, Communications Manager for the Arab American National Museum. They talked about the exhibit, other offerings of the museum and the important role the museum plays in our community.

Bill Keith interviews author Warren Zanes about his new biography of Tom Petty. The book is simply called Petty. Zanes played in a band called the Del Fuegos in the 80’s and his band eventually opened for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. He left the Del Fuegos shortly after the Petty tour but continued to be a fan of Tom’s music.
