Community Focus – April 19, 2023
The City of Northville closed streets during the COVID pandemic to support businesses downtown. They created one of the first social district’s in the State of Michigan. The closed streets have pleased some, but have also been a point of contention for others. The Northville City Council recently decided to keep the streets closed during summer months, and open them for traffic during the winter. 88.1 the Park’s, Anya Reed, spoke with Northville Mayor, Brian Turnbull, about the closings and the decision to reopen streets. They also talked about future development of Northville Downs and the possible addition of roundabouts.
