Community Focus – April 24, 2019

Katie Horvath Roy passed away a little over two years ago.  Katie was a Plymouth-Canton Community Schools graduate and she went on to be a teacher and dance instructor.  Her family is hosting the Katie Horvath Roy Memorial Golf Outing on Saturday July 27, at Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center.  The golf outing will raise money for scholarships for elementary education students at Eastern Michigan University, Katie’s alma mater.  88.1 the Park Station Manager, Bill Keith, spoke with Katie’s father, Mark Horvath, about Katie and the golf outing.  Mark is a former Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education Member.
