Community Focus – December 16, 2020

Farmers in India are protesting recent government actions that impact their ability to earn a living.  Their protests are finding solidarity in the Indian community around the world, including here in Canton.  88.1 the Park’s Sumedha Sethi spoke with three of the organizers of a protest that took place in Heritage Park.  Her guests were Harry Cheema, Aman Jhajj, and Amrinder Grewal.  They discussed the challenges faced by Indian farmers, the importance of farming around the world, and the impact protests in Canton are having.
