Community Focus – May 21, 2025

Each spring the Monarch Butterfly migrates from Mexico to Michigan and Canada.  88.1 the Park’s Claudia Fisher spoke with Michigan State University Professor of Entomology, Dr. David Mota-Sanchez.  Dr. Mota-Sanchez’s research focuses on the evolution of arthropod resistance to pesticides, insecticide toxicology, and metabolism of pesticides in insects.  They talked about the migration to and from Michigan and the importance of caring for the environment.
